tach 20 door board problem causing occupied - 05/11/13 02:11 AM

I had an occupied the other day with a little girl getting stuck so I have no info prior to her getting entrapted . Car was running and stopping at the floors being called to but wouldn't open the doors. Had demand to open no current going to door motor so I did some metering and everything was pointing at the door board being bad . I ordered a new board the old one being a 6300fx4 , they sent out a 6300 bx something or other and that board included a 4"wire with a female spade on it with no instructions or info also it had a reset button behind the jumpers on the right side the other board did not have. I don't work for thyssen so we have are own tool designed to work with the tach 20 , does anyone know where the wire is supposed to terminate I know the spade side just not the terminal side . And how is the learn procedure on these boards is it an open and close scan only or do all parameters need to be plugged in and a open and close learn done . Thanks

You probably have a 6300PY1, the wire goes from P24 on the terminal strip in the door operator to the feston on the board marked P24. Make sure the jumpers are the same. You need to communicate with the door board and change the encoder count parameter to 0, the door will scan then save by clicking save. They come really close out of the box as far as operation speeds. Work Safe.
