What is the model number of the controller you are working on? Is it a 211 or 411? What kind of failures are you having?

you have an SVT but no documentation? Am I correct you are not with an Otis company? Otherwise all of this is readily available. What type of controller? Hydro, geared or gearless? The fault code you gave is a generic code that always comes up when you POR the controller. Do you have more info?

Yes thats the problem i have no documentation! and we dont work with otis company. i dont know how to find documentation on internet... it is geared. What does POR means? i have pictures and i know that there is a display in the controller that says 0--- i know the 0 means that one security is open but i dont have plans and no information i cant not look for it manually and activate it again! If there is a way to send u pictures of controller that would be nice! if u can help me in something i will apreciate this.

thank u very much

If you need the job drawings you should call Unitech with the actual Job #. They can usually provide the correct prints for any job. You should post a picture in the photo gallery of the equipment that you are working on so people can help you with identifying your controller.

Re: OTIS FAULT MANUAL - 06/08/10 07:39 PM

too many problems to list controller and doors is the usual Otis bullet proof stuff but the machine and motor are junk, basically throw away. If they have those nasty flat rubber cables that's even worse unless you had a master mechanic install. you can tell by the wear of the treads if your gonna have issues. I won't touch these things, Otis loses their ass on these so I can't imagine anyone else doing much better. I'm in the process of scanning my Big O manuals to PDF when I'm done I'll let everyone know. I won't post them but I will email them to you. I'm also scanning all my TK, Kone, and Schindler stuff. That will take at least another month as the printer I use takes awhile and is kinda pricey to do this.

Hey Mate, by the looks of that picture you have there an Otis 311 with the RCB and MCB boards on the right there. STM power fail is just a generic fault telling us that the lift has lost power for some reason and as a result has shutdown. If you scroll further through the fault log you will find other faults that should tell you why.
