Hi,

You could try clean the tacho, that's the 108, if you've not done it before, ask for instructions, what machine & drive is on it?

Make sure tacho is 100% and shaft learn completes 100% (0118)
Also check pencils and that magnet polarities are all set correctly (stripe visable). Don't forget to set loadweigher.

Yes you must do a shaft setup.

What's your sub code to the 108 ? We've experienced 108 faults due to a Kone retro fit on the brake module in the controller. Found factory wiring loose on a lot of these brake modules and giving us a 108 fault " exceeded torque" even after doing a shaft set up and checking the air gap on the brakes themselves . * check your wiring in the controller to the brake module.

Don't recall 0108 having a sub code.

There's about 6 sub codes. When your 108 fault appears press select and it will give you a sub code to your 108 fault . Any drive error between 102-126 has a sub code.

Thanks. You are spot on. I have never even thought about looking for a sub code for 0108 faults as I have always just gone straight for the obvious.Handy to know for the future though.

Good morning , Happy new year ,
I change the tacho , the wiring for the tacho , I did a shaft learning , I change the magnet , I change the pencil sensor ( still same problem ) remember this problem only happen on the down direction and only if the elevator stop at every floor ? and the problem happen at groung floor ?

Hi there,
You still got the 0108 fault at the ground floor? Is the lift re levelling after it stopped short? Did you check the position of the 61, 30 and 77 magnets?

Re: Kone KCM 831 unique problem - 01/01/14 06:13 PM

Make sure final limit setting at bottom floor is at least 80mm from ramp when lift is level at bottom floor then carry out a shaft learn.
If you don't see a 0118 on LCE when learn drive completes it means the new settings haven't been registered into LCE

Yes the lift relevel by itself after 5 second , but the door not opening and people think they are trap ?
Yes I check the position of magnet , it's only happen when the elevatoir stop on every floor ? if the elevator come down straight from any floor to ground floor the problem not happen , That why im confuse .

Make sure the tach or the Governor encoder aren't slipping. Also check the Governor Tail Sheave weight hasn't bottomed out.

Yes bad traveling cable ? I check visualy , nothing ?
Maybe i should try chnage wire for pencil sensor .
Thanks

Re: Kone KCM 831 unique problem - 01/03/14 05:26 AM

Check your load weighing when the car is at bottom floor throwing the 108 Error
With how bad the rails are put in we've had them wedge in the rails when they become dry this fault will lead you in the wrong direction alot of the time just because of dry rails

Re: Kone KCM 831 unique problem - 01/03/14 05:31 AM

You might be dropping your voltage from the ADON board to the CCBN board in the same spot every time . I've had to replace 2 travelers on 2 new jobs already. It doesn't sound right but check it . Next time the problem occurs don't move the car and kill the power. Start ringing out your travelers by ground in one wire at a time at the ADON and ringing the same wire at the CCBN on top of the car. Good place to start is your car gate , I believe on XC1 ADON and XT1 CCBN. Ultimately you'll need a print. Also see if your getting a 0021 error <--open safety circuit example "car gate" good luck !!

Hi there,
The car gate switch is not part of a 0021 fault - stop switch, governor, car top box, safety gear etc shown as 0021 fault

Re: Kone KCM 831 unique problem - 01/03/14 05:52 PM

I'll have to re-check what I sent , I typed so fast I may have not realized . I ment to say usually it's the gate wires that have broke on me . Thanks for the heads up .

Re: Kone KCM 831 unique problem - 01/03/14 07:15 PM

Hi,
Does this happen with a empty car or with load?

Re: Kone KCM 831 unique problem - 01/16/14 05:42 PM

Hi
I guess it's only happen with an empty car - if so, take two plates from to counter weight out, put them on the car top, adjust the load weighing (gain and off set), and give it a go.
Cheers

Probably time to get Kone tech in to sort things out for you

Had the same exact problem. Ended up being tight counterweight rails at the top and in need of some lube. Lubed rails and opened up DBG a little and Voila!
