tac 20 ln card - 01/27/14 04:33 AM

I hav a Ln card that i believe is bad., the power light is on, but the STAT led is not blinking. the book has 3 different descriptions for various blinking rates of the stat led, but nothing about no stat led, does this indicate a bad card? the card was working, but when i turned off the power and back on again, the light does not come on.

If you delete that node under Advanced Lon ( you must have the LonsTalk adapter) , are you able to find it again ie replace node utility?

well i found out what happened, seems that the r11 and r12 resistors both opened up, which opened the 24 volt feed to the 5 volt regulator chip. since these were both 2.2 ohm resistors in parallel, i jumped them out and all is well. using the card for a test rig, so it is not going to be a problem leaving the resistors jumped while i play around with my test set up. my wife now tells me the cat was climbing on my desk, maybe the damn cat did it. ha ha
