211 LADS Fault - 05/29/14 09:28 PM

mechanic says he cannot reset LADS fault. i had him check to see if lower access door input was going low when door opens. also checked that the input was going low when the CIO check was low, and it all checked out ok. if he removed the wire from the cio output that went to the door locks, put the car on inspection and reset the fault, the car indicates inspection operation, as soon as he puts the wire for the door lock circuit back on, the lads fault appears, car will only run from access in the hall, will not run from mr inspection. he sent the cpu board in for repair. any other things to look for? he is hoping the board will fix the problem but just looking for ideas in case it does not thanks

The unit only runs from the hall on access (with the LADS bypassed), not when all doors are closed (MRI). I wonder if there is an issue at the access key switch or the interlock wires are swapped and some sort of safety redundancy circuit is catching it. I don't know much about that CIO testing. Did this issue just suddenly occur do you know? And the resetting...is he using the two SW (2&3?) button commands or simply the "reset" button to try to clear the fault? Just asking.

Sounds like a wiring cross between...Hds and Lads...inputs...

this has been a running car, no problems the last 2 years. the car won't run from mr inspection, and the door inputs are on. i know the reset is working, because he can reset it, and take the cio output wire off, and the car will not have the fault, just no door lock input, as soon as the cio wire is put back on, the fault comes on immediately. he says dol, and dcl are also working properly, the board will be back next week and we will see what happens. thanks
