TAC50-03 door board short version - 06/14/14 11:37 PM

Sorry about the long winded post earlier, Long days this week.
1) replacing a 6300PA2 with a 6300 PA7.
2) center opening doors, what is jumper configuration. J1-J8?
3) how Do I perform a learn cycle using IMS?
4) installed new door board, motor is running backwards, when using open and closed on board.
5) door op. Is on the left side when looking outside from top of car.

Thanks for any help

Jp1 1 to 2
JP2 2 to 3
Jp3 off
Jp4 off for front on for rear
Jp5 installed for 486 off for can
Jp6 off

I pulled the wrong book that's for 6300paxx on a 04 I'll have to get the 03 book in the morning.

The 03 book has no info for that door card. What I did find for a 6300pa3. Which is a universal door board. Which you'll use the universal door smart fast to adjust. It does say that the 6300pa2 is no longer produced and lacks jumper jp6 which handles 1/6hp ac and DC motors. So hopefully TK will be able to give you more info then what I have here on the job.

I know jp7-8 were both resistors on the old card. We remove them for CAN communication, they were left on for LON, so if the 50-03 is LON based they should remain. Direction of doors is handled in door smarfast, believe it is under the sub heading of door. Verify that the hand of door matches, dc motor, linear operator, etc.

The door scan is also in door smarfast, think in IMS it is service, door diagnostics, door smart fast to open. First screen there is a commands prompt, drop down arrow, first command is auto null, drop down and there is learn travel.

I will be on the ground in another 4-6 hours, if you need more help I will fire the laptop up at the hotel.

Does anybody know where the LHO adjustment is located within IMS? New door board is running backwards, was told by TK field engineering to reverse this adjustment. TAC 50-03. Thanks

Do you know where the LHO adjustment is found in IMS? Been through it thoroughly, can't find it anywhere.

It's a parameter, you could ask TK engineering as I don't remember exactly where in the menu it is. I believe you can access it via the UIT on some boards, and via ims on other vintages.

Under the system pull down on the door smart fast setting MAL=1 enables all adjustments(maint access level)

Re: TAC50-03 door board short version - 06/19/14 09:08 PM

I had to order a door board for a TAC 32. It was a 6300PA3. They sent me a 6300PA6 and some vague instrux on connecting to door board thru a hyper link. I have had to connect via z-modem to replace a CPU on a TAC 20. Are they wanting me to do a similar process to this board. I thought that I could access my door card thru the UIT on the controller, but it will not let me. Keeps saying"awaiting response" I have my WD and my VBUS like I should, but now I am wondering if I am missing a job file or if the door board has its own UIT. Also wondering if door parameters are on the USB left in the controller.

Until you gain access to the settings and parameters you cant do or find anything. MAL=1 will grant you what you need. So until you do MAL=1 you are wasting your time. When we leave the job and TK isn't gonna keep it on contract we always turn MAL=0, any new boards you have to set MAL=1

You do not need mal set to 1 for the door hand, I already posted how to get into this. Service, door diagnostics, door smarfast. The first window that opens is profile1, right click anywhere on this page, and a menu opens up, on of the items in the menu is door. In this door menu you may change the door board from right hand to left hand, dc motor vs.ac motor, linear operator vs Hd, etc.

thyssen guys really have time to set MAL to 0 when losing a job? even if they did, why would they do this. is this something they are being told to do? or do they have a special job loser guy go out and try and make it tough for the next company? just asking. seems a little silly, when all you have to do is set it back . i know this is off topic, but hearing things like this is really irritating, were all union brothers.

I didn't mean that vatorgator. We have a bunch of open shop people around these hospitals and electricians who take over maint on some of our units. To those people yes we set the access level down for protection of the public. Any time you change a TK door board you have to MAL=1 first time that's what I was getting at.

I'm really suprised that folks would post this much trade information in the open
Maybe a few discreet pm's would do the trick.

Re: TAC50-03 door board short version - 06/21/14 06:30 AM

I usually do set MAL back to 0, not so much to mess with anyone, but as to keep the menus clean and uncluttered. The only Parameter opened by MAL that I typically change is IKI. It is just used to clean a small bit of chatter on linear door operators when they are in nudging. The rest of the parameters get confusing, even for TKE personnel, so I usually set it back to default 0 when I am done.
