MAC PMSSC DOOR OPERATOR - 08/28/14 12:21 PM

Anyone out there have any adjusting info on one of these. Have one that we think has a bad speed control board but we replaced it with one we got from World and it made it worse. Put the old one back in and it will work ok for awhile but the board gets hot. Motor is fine, brushes are fine, doors are all free moving, no binding. Need to know what all of te adjusting pots/switches are for on this thing. Thanks.

A little more info......when the board gets to where its hot, the doors open and close too fast. When we put the new board from World in, the doors would work ok when we would try it without the hoistway door engaged but as soon as we tried it with the hoistway door engaged it would open about a foot and then just stall out like it has no torque. None of the adjustments seemed to help so we put the old board back in so that we could at least get the doors to function period.

Hey mate check your messages. I think you may have the main darlington transistor failing under load.

I agree with uppo72. The adjusting is the same with the different versions, but need to know if you have the 104 board or earlier version. I have manuals for both.

Did not think right. You can download info from Kone Spares

I would change the board to the 104 board. Do a google search for konespares, click on MAC door equipment, scroll down the downloads till solid state control with 104 board. If that doesn't work let me know.

Good idea to always replace the power and speed control as a pair.
When the darlington fails it can output full potential and will slam the doors open and close. I would replace the power board and then re-adjust your speeds before going any further.

If its been really hot for a long time it can sometimes cause issues with the socket board below, but only in rare occasions.

Good chance if you still have an original one its probably time to replace anyway.

The 104 is a nice upgrade but requires a piggyback board if you're local code requires a door holding signal while the car is in motion.
