Thyssen 6300VC1 boards - 03/29/15 10:09 PM

I have a TAC 50 04 with a bad 6300VC1 board (or24-1) in the COP. What requirements need to be met to replace these boards? They are all connected to the CAN via ethernet cables, this particular one is identified as 24-4 and has the cartop inspection and access inspection plugged into it. I guess what I'm trying to say, is if i replace this board, how will the can know that it is 24-4 and that these are the inputs plugged into it? I understand they are not intelligent boards, but I have to assume they are addressed somehow for the CAN to determine what is plugged into it?

OK, i've gotten no response on either of my problems I've posted here (Thanks guys, lol). In case anyone comes across this, The boards plugged up no problem, I figured that it is automatically addressed by the CAN in the COP in the order it was connected via the ethernet cables. Replaced the board, had to do a TECC, and BAM, it all worked like magic. FYI.

Sorry JOP, I have been a bit busy. The TECC is used to bind the car nodes. You can also verify its functionality by doing a DCN afterwards, to make sure the node took, and ports are accurate. Stands for Display Car Node.
