Dmc door board - 04/14/16 12:43 AM

Having issues where doors stop working in both the close and the open positions. Tried swapping door board 3 times and problem doesn't go away. Won't even learn the door run. Does the clc prevent this from happening or the door op board?

Re: Dmc door board - 04/14/16 01:11 AM

the door board is only going to do what the clc tells it to do. Will it work with the MDO and MCO?

What is mdo and mco

On the door board you have 3 buttons mdo is the manual door open and manual door close mdc and then a reset button

Can do a door scan but it won't allow me to save pulse count parameter. Any reason for that? Sup doesn't clear on step 7 which means pulse count wasn't saved. What prevents pulse count from being saved in clc

Go back and check all adjustments especially 62-69

Re: Dmc door board - 04/14/16 06:15 PM

Might want to check the encoder and also could possibly be the clc. Also make sure that you getting the dol and the dcl leds to light on the door board

Does 65000 pulses sound normal?

Re: Dmc door board - 04/14/16 07:10 PM

Sounds high to me, last one I did was 490.

Re: Dmc door board - 04/14/16 07:23 PM

Sounds high to me as well I think that the last one I set up was 675

Does the high tach prevent the save. Will try to replace the tach

I know this sounds simple, but a lot of the time new belts can fix a problem like this. If they slip even a little the encoder counts are off. Just something to keep in mind.

..might want to changeout the motor had a problem recently on two of my cars at random jobs..

I'm with John jay on this one. At least try and tighten the belts before going for an encoder.

Re: Dmc door board - 04/17/16 02:58 PM

That should have the big black plastic, analog encoder. I have seen the little digital encoder on these when we pick up new jobs. I think they are 500 cpr, DMC won't save a travel that high. I have also got way high travel #s replacing the analog encoder switches with Sees parts, I know it doesn't make sense but it worked fine with TK parts. If anyone else has seen that or can explain it I would appreciate hearing about it.

Make sure your replacing it with a 6300py4 board. Install the capacitor in the controller on p150 and g150. Replace all the belts. If they are dry-rotted or too tight or loose it will throw the counts off. Make sure the door close and open limits make. Good luck

Well if your CLC is an old version the new door board won't communicate with it, then you have to upgrade all the boards.

Re: Dmc door board - 05/20/16 08:31 PM

Ok, i've replaced motor, encoder, belts, door board. It's practically a new door op and i'm still getting a 65000 pulse count. Anyone have any other ideas

Do you get a different count if you move a limit?

Re: Dmc door board - 05/21/16 03:42 AM

Yes, it gets higher

Re: Dmc door board - 05/21/16 03:29 PM

You got me. Sure sounds like you have a digital encoder on it. Did you say what part # board you are using? Is there any AC on the 12vdc from the power supply?

Re: Dmc door board - 05/21/16 09:44 PM

It's the optical encoder that comes with the motor. Is there 2 different types? I only see one on vert express.

Re: Dmc door board - 05/22/16 03:06 AM

The optical one is correct, it's the big black plastic case with 2 switches inside and a notched wheel. There is a small digital encoder for the PA door boards that's 500 cpr. You can get that motor with either encoder on it.

Re: Dmc door board - 05/24/16 11:00 PM

What do the jumpers do the door op board

Re: Dmc door board - 05/24/16 11:36 PM

J1 is on for front doors. J2 reverses the hand of the doors, if they run open when you press MDC you change J2. I don't remember what J3 is for but it should be off. J4 is off unless you have an EH board and need more torque.

Re: Dmc door board - 05/24/16 11:56 PM

Are you getting door faults? Like a 309 phasing fault? You must have a 307 if the saved count is more than 1280 counts.

Re: Dmc door board - 05/25/16 01:13 AM

Nope, it won't let me save

Did you resolve the problem?
