miprom 21 digital drive - 04/15/16 11:52 PM

have a series b digital drive, we may have to replace the main control board. mechanic states hard fault with code of only f2. did not tell me what code is associated with this i.e. vp cp sp but looking at all of them 2 looks like main control board failure.
question is if i have to replace main control board can anyone give me some tips.
do i just replace eproms and eeproms, and do a reinit? any advice would be appreciated.

Try calling c-teck, they do all the software changes, etc for miprom.

If you have to replace the Main Control Board in the Drive you can replace the EEprom from one Board to another and do a Re-init. If that doesn't work and you end up having to init the Drive and the Miprom 21 CPU, you should copy the Drive, and the CPU Parameters. You will also have to install a new Floor Table, as an init wipes out everything to Default. The Prom Chip is not interchangeable. A service Tool should give you a lot more info than F 2.

Cp17 fault. Internal hardware fault
Replaced main control board. The prom software version was 10.1 on a board we got from mod. Original was v5.1. I could not make it worse so i swapped eeprom
I did a find mismatch and all parameters were good no mismatch found. Car runs great. Did not have to do a reinit.

Cp17 said overload reset or something like that. It then says under solutions
internal fault. If it persist replace main control board
