Scindler 3300 - 05/31/16 11:19 PM

Anyone taken these on for maintenance. Are parts available, any literature available, should we stay away. Not sure how long they've been on the market. Looked at one today and customer is looking for feedback

We have 2 on service. 1 had the wdpna board go bad, schindler/adams would not sell us the board or any of the fermator door lock parts. I was told by adams that the parts are proprietary. they did however sell the board directly to the customer and we installed it.

Avoid is my advice. Not worth all the hassle you will suffer when things go wrong.

Re: Scindler 3300 - 06/09/16 02:29 AM

We had a building owner ask for pricing on replacing the belts on a 3300 and the unit was only 4 years old. They had an oil and grease contract with Schindler so the belts weren't covered. Adams would not quote belts without the GO#. When we gave it to them they said they couldn't sell them to us because they were able to look up the GO# in their system and saw it was in a active service contract with Schindler. Supposedly they will only sell parts if they are not in a service contract.

I feel bad for any building who was unfortunate enough to have one of these installed. Maybe one day they will get reverse engineered by a third party and parts and support will be available, but it certainly wont be anytime soon.

I contacted columbia elevator about the fermator door locks. I was told they do not stock them. They referred me to fermator in spain. None of my emails or calls were returned from fermator.

Go for it!
These units are ok once you get used to them, all spares are available to anyone in Europe

Buy a Modutool to unlock all the parameters and all the fixtures indicators and buttons can be changed for standard open source with a simple driver card

www.modusystem.nl/en/products/modu-tool

always evolving due to modular design as new software is cracked it can just be added to your original tool

I had one of the originals and have used it loads and has never let me down

In Europe Schindler are going round providing free software updates to customers and locking the HMI

The mod-tool opens up the menu allowing complete access

The tool works on SCHINDLER OTIS KONE ORONA AND TKE equipment and various other add on such as the COP and LOP interface for the Schindler models
