Otis 211 w/ at400 door operator - 06/23/16 12:35 PM

Working on a Otis 211 with the at400 door operator and was wondering if you are able to turn down the nudging force and the closing force.

all those parameters are set when you do a learn run. Why would you need to turn them down?

(Closing force, N) and (Nudging force) are adjustable parameters through the tool.

Did the learn run, but still maxing out my door gauge. Can you hook up the tool up to the port on the operator or is it through the controller.

Either should work.

Thru the door operator. Don't believe you can change force item or profile from controller.

some of the at400 had to have a software upgrade to correct this problem. Door would torque up after a stall and exceed max allowed force. The black belt operator had the same problem.

Thanks guy's, changed out the at400 door operator with new and now not maxing out my gauge but still is pushing the code maximum, but stable at 30 on the closing and nudging force.

You can adjust nudging close force as low as 80 if you have a service tool. Another way is to make some other changes that make it reenergize in the open direction. If you would like PM me and I can help you.

My experience is that the torque is factory set at maximum, 30lbs. It's a pain to check too as the door edge fires a reopen every time you get your gauge near it.
My experiment was to slow high speed down to get less torque, but then door close time was affected and a nudge buzzer would turn on near full close which generated reduced speed and ROA call backs. Reverted to original parameters.
Maybe Green Pants will chime in to tell us what the answer may be.
