Ascension 1000 - 12/15/16 08:59 AM

Anybody know what fires the doz led on the monitor board? I've tried new cards and a new monitor board and a new motion board (used and supposedly good). I thought this was a computer generated signal from the door monitor circuits. The cls and the ols are in the proper configuration. If this is what generates this signal, I need the terminals to check between the boards and the monitor. Any thoughts?

My thought is;
Is the DZ relay replaceable on the Function Board? What is it that this elevator is not doing properly?

And...
Do you have the PCD tool or any other diagnostic tool to see the computer signals?

DOZ is an output to from the CPU that pulls CDOZ low to fire the DOZ transistor on the function board. I believe the purpose is to pick SAFR with the run/stop switch or door locks open while in the door zone for releveling. P1 1-2 re-levels with stop switch open, P1 2-3 re-levels only with stop switch closed.

Thanks to All. Problem is car wont run, except on inspection. It seems that DOZ is a necessary signal to get car into automatic service. SAFR signal is good, since doors are closed and stop switch is in run position. All inputs are correct, but car wont take a call (car or hall). It seems that the only outputs that are not on are DOZ and HBV. I dont know which is needed first, or if it matters. In the past, when the car is at rest, the DOZ light is lit. The relay on the function board is soldered in and can certainly be replaced, but a supposedly good board was substituted and the symptoms were the same. I have received an interconnection print and when I can get back to the job, I will check the molex plugs to see if it is a loose connection.

I've had problems with 2 of these units in the past year that turned out to be molex connection problems so your probably on the right track.

don't think you need DOZ to get the car to run on automatic. probably something else .

the power supply molex connector can be a problem, make sure all the voltages are good, 5v + and - 12, J7 from the power supply to J1 on controller. no ac ripple
Im almost certain you do not need DOZ for car to run on automatic, only to relevel with stop switch or doors open like IDWT indicates. keep us posted.

I'll testify to that connector, we finally found a screw terminal plug for that one,one too many callbacks

I've replaced the molex on the power supply due to a loose 5v connection. The car ran 4 weeks before this happened.

More than half the problems I've had on 1000's have been power supply and Molex connector problems. I replace the terminals with gold plated Trifurcon type that grab the sides of the pins too.

It's been a while, but we used to solder a wire from the power supply +5 volts to the TV+5 terminal. Maybe you meant " HRV" ( hall riser voltage) which if not on will inhibit the hall riser. If you have a tool, what does the modes or faults tell you?
