Tac 20 sitting with a B-44 status - 04/23/17 11:32 AM

I have a Tac 20 and I am learning how to use the IMS. The elevator sits with the doors open and I have a B-44 status on one of the screens. My fault log seems to be locked up, meaning I can not seem to get new faults to replace the current faults. (1073,1041,1098). looking for some ideas on the B-44 and why my faults are locked.

With the car highlighted in network under service menu, open Remote Fast. In the box that opens type RFL to clear the faults. From your faults it looks like you have a door open limit problem or some other door problem. If you open the Remote Fast with the group highlighted it will only clear Group Faults. Not sure where you got your IMS but you also need good help files to steer you to the errors. Also an IMS User Guide is helpful.

I believe on the TAC20, the CPU has to see gate lock, door lock and DCL in that sequential order without much delay between the last two inputs. Conversely, it must see them in reverse order during open cycle. Sometimes it's a timing issue between the the last two making the trouble intermittent.

The 1098 is usually a bad N/C contact on the HDIF contractor or bobbling door locks. Your B-44 status is from the 1073, door lock monitoring. If DOL goes high while hall or gate locks are made, the CPU thinks there is a jumper left on a door lock. That fault of seeing DOL when it shouldn't and a 1041 that says it did not get to DOL in the allotted time makes me suspect a communication problem with the door board. Open your door diagnostics window and see if there are any faults at the bottom. Also, if you open door smart fast and the table doesn't populate, you don't have communication with the door board.

Parallel the HDIF and CDCF relay contacts.

all very good replies. I need to get back to the site and test some these theories and let everyone know the outcome. thanks
