Tac-50 - 04/24/17 02:07 PM

We have been having some issues with a Tac-50. First we were getting a 962 fault which is saying to check the vanes, the position encoder, and the modules. we changed the modules, changed out the position indicator, and looked over the vanes and switches. Everything seemed to be fine. While doing so the car got stuck on access at the top floor and it pulls a 230 fault. It would drop out SAF3 and it said to put it on machine room inspection to reset the fault, which did not work. if any one has any ideas about any of these 2 situations that would be great.

Looks like the CPU needs to see auto AU high then switch to MR inspect PT high to clear that but there should have been another B44 fault that led to the 230 after a power cycle.

Is the 962 intermittent or constant? Make sure all the vanes are the correct distance in the transducer. I think it's 5/8"

The 962 fault is intermittent. It will eventually shut down after around 20 to 30 runs. Always shuts down at the bottom floor.

Ya, make sure the guides aren't too loose and set the vanes to the transducer. I looked in the book and the DZ vanes are 5/8", the NTSD is 1-1/2" from the notch. Just tweak them til they're right on. I'm thinking one will be off at the bottom.

I did notice that the bottom vane was about a 1/4 inch or so back than the rest of the vane, but i looked at the sensors on the transducer and it seemed that it would still work. maybe i was wrong i will be there tomorrow.

@alwaysfixin, were you able to get it straightened out?
