Just curious if anyone can tell me the door close limit settings on these operators. Is it normal for Otis to enable a close limit so far away from the actual door closed position? If anyone has any mechanical setup information for these door operators, that would be great. Thanks..

at400 and blackbelt - the sensor on above gate switch is the door close position sensor. its to allow car to run if power is lost and operator needs to initialize in a recovery run the limits are in software an recorded on learn run. the sensor is not DCL.

imotion has hatch marks in the aluminum on the slots of the drive wheel that both stop bumpers must be centered on. the software only cares about total degrees of rotation, which equals the same number of encoder counts regardless of width of doors. if bumpers are off u get encoder mismatch faults randomly. once done set up rest of the arms to get full open and close. ***( you can cheat by moving both bumpers the same distance off marks in the same direction just so long as total degrees of rotation doesn't change )

both operators must have 6940 lock bell cranks set so the vane is pinched snuggly. if vane is sloppy the weight of hoistway door
bouncing back and forth on vane will give instantaneous over currents.
