1975 Westinghouse ERL issues - 10/24/17 10:00 PM

I am having an intermittent door reopening issue with a 1975 erl duplex. One elevator closes it's doors, the direction, 6, and 1 or 2 pickup but dropout when 45 drops and allows the doors to reopen. Ran elevator with the doors of and it ran fine. It will do it 10 times in a row sometimes. Running it on car top inspection it is not clipping an locks. Safety edge does not activate. Surprisingly there is no Ste relay on the controller. Checked limits and gate switch. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Westinghouse door locks bounce. Try putting a .25-.50 second timer in series with door locks at controller to de-bounce. This was a common problem with Westinghouse locks. An Artisan timer will work if that's your problem.

Need to find out why 45's are dropping.

It ended up being the 80 and 80a relays were not holding in and the 22 relay coil was bad. It is surprising that it ran most of the time with all these problems.
