Smart Rise 2013 install Speed issues - 02/15/18 03:39 PM

Had to replace the cartop SRU board. Got the new board from Smart Rise, preprogrammed for the job. But now the Controller is only running the S1 speed profile (50fpm) and does not move into S2 or S3 speeds. I can set the S1 profile to run at contract 350 but it shoots through the DZ during slowdown on 1 floor runs. It runs fine with S1 at 175 to 200 becasue it has time to slow down as long as the distances are set up right. But this is a work around and not a solution. I refuse to reduce the speed just becasue the Smart Rise tech said this will make it run. That's not what the customer paid for. Has anyone else experienced issues like this after replacing the car top or any SRU? Waiting on further tech support but thought I'd check here for any past experiences with the same issue.

Just discovered the SRU in the COP isn't working right. No display. Will order replacement and post the results when complete.

I've had some experiences with changing sru boards and when I was frustrated with getting nowhere with tech support, tried a last ditch effort and went to the default all parameter menu.
Did that and voila everything started communicating with each other and working the way it was supposed too? The only drawback is that you have to redo your floor levels

Thanks for the reply and info. I finally had some success Friday. Had to replace the COP SRU as well but the main problem was that Smart Rise sent us replacement boards with updated software and that had a conflict with existing boards with prior software versions. After replacing both bad SRU's, I updated the software on the existing controller SRU, checked my speed parameters and everything ran after that...no problems. Well, I also had to set the parameter in the COP board so the car call lock outs worked with the card reader, but the elevator did return to full service. I can only suggest that everyone who may work on these things should get the Debugger hardware for programming software. You will eventually need one.

Agreed they are a necessity to have if you are going to have these on your route. We had and issue with one that it would not give a correct fault during ETS and had to change all of the software on it.
