Hi fellas techs, this is a new account 12 cars same equipment, cars running but brake switch parameter 88 DISABLED, triple check the brake monitors (microswitches or contacts/1st and 2nd generation of monitors)
N/C circuit opens up when brake coil energizes
Car takes off normally after 10 or 20 seconds controller trips elevator stops , reset itself and keeps going a couple of times in a 6 to 8 floors call, one of the faults (open safety circuit) ,another fault (brake not lifting)
I'm pretty sure my brake monitors are good
So I'm wondering if it might be another parameter that needs to be enabled or a bad contact for my brake coil circuit, as I said before any ideas or suggestions are welcome, thanks

just had a couple of these added to my route also...sounds like you got lucky and they left you the HHU behind to see faults.
Mine do not have microswitches, BR2 failed and elev kept running with brake dropped and set off smokes. I would have thought drive would have faulted out 1st.

Believe it or not you can get tech support on these from MCE but only until June 1st. and that's "the end of life" support. They bought O'Thompson somewhere back around 2005.

Your situation...if brake sw parameter is disabled not sure why you would be getting brake not lifting faults and open safe circuit while running could be anything...door locks?

On the fault log find out which fault was first. Make sure in flight the LED on the relay board does not blink and verify the 110vdc is good. Make sure all the boards are blinking green led ( toc board, car station board) and vertify the 5vdc at car top, car station.

Can't be DL circuits, once I disabled the brake switch parameter the car runs normally, I tried with 3 different cars in the same complex and is the same problem, that's why I thought maybe there is another controller parameter, or a bad contact for the brake coil circuit, intermittently is braking up,
thanks for your opinion and ideas

Msd._ well once i disabled the brake switch parameter the car runs without problems , is the way they were running, is the way we got them , I replaced a brake monitor and realized that the brake parameter was disabled
tested all brake monitors ,all of them the same problem, so definitely is related with the brake switch or the brake coil circuit, a relay contact or a conflicting parameter

Does the input for the brakes switch change?
Is the handheld software version equal and higher than the CTRL chip version?

The handheld is the original one , came with the controllers ,the manager keeps it in his office all the time, and works normally, I enabled the brake switch parameter, figured it out and disabled back the way it was ,so the handheld isnt the problem, is something else, maybe a drive parameter conflicting with the controller parameter once it is enable, I have to search on the drive maybe there is my problem
