TAC32 Fault 115 - 08/21/18 08:59 PM

Ims shows 115 car fault code(p2 cross check error) Car runs a week or tow and shuts down again with code. 115 is code in IMS but I can not find that code in the manuals? I found in manual fault 1150 for no pulses on encoder. Is this the same?

Hate to get off topic but the 1150 will get you if you dont have z44 set to 100,been burned on that one before and check all new jobs i get.

Went by this morning to check selector wiring etc. It was one inch below top floor and had not releveled. No faults and it answered the call. When it was shut down before it was at the bottom floor and on the buffer springs. It relevels when we manually lower it. Does the 32 have an adjustable dead zone? We were gong to go back with two people and see how long the dead zone is on it.

Try turning in on the low pressure adjustor, maybe a quarter turn. I've worked on a few I2/3's which had the tension in the adjustor weaken over time and under certain conditions would time out trying to re-level because it didn't have enough juice to move the car on low speed.

Not sure what that fault would indicate though. If I remember correctly (maybe from a thread here, and things I've seen in the field), earlier TAC32 software would check for certain parameters on start-up and trip strange faults because a hydro has different parameters than a traction and the software was looking for traction parameters. Later versions perform that check later on in the start-up after it knows its a hydro. I may be mangling this explanation but functionally this is what you get, and maybe that 115 is related?

Update on this one. After cleaning strainers it went down again. One of the guys increased the run monitor time a little. Has not faulted out yet.

Then it’s an 1150 and Z44 was too low

Z44 must be set to 100 or 10 seconds!
