Nudging circuit - Dover TIII - 09/26/18 10:00 PM

Anyone ever added a nudging circuit for fire service to a Dover TIII unit? The customer (via a consultant) wants us to change out the mechanical edges for photo eyes. There is a normal nudging circuit for when the doors time out, but nothing for fire service. It has an HD-86 operator.

First type in SEA to see if it recognizes the adjustment. It may or may not depending on the software version. If it does, set it to 4, that should be reduced speed on Phase 1, normal speed on Phase 2, and edge disabled on both. Jump out the SE input on door operator, wire the detector to EE. You may have to have CS2 bits 4 and 5 set too but not sure. If the software does not have SEA, you could add a relay to pick The NDG relay on Phase 1 but I would suggest you just include the software upgrade in the proposal.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll give that a try and I'll let you know how we make out.
