Thyssen Endura cpua programming - 02/09/19 04:56 PM

We had a duplex thyssen endura suffer major water damage. I managed to get the slave car moving on phase 2 but I can not seem to get the cpua board functioning on the master. I've followed the manual exactly using the usb stick placing the the software in tke/update, moving the boot jumper and the reset and buttons on the board. It flashes the Morse code z like its should and after a time flashes the red led at a slow 2 pulse but the uit never comes up. Any thoughts. I've spent the last 7 days replacing boards just to get the 1 moving. The IMS will not connect without the cpua being programmed so that sucks too. I've performed this on many tac 32s no problem but this endura is different. Any help is appreciated

When you say the unit never comes up, we’re just looking for a watchdog LED at this point. Do you get that? I’m also concerned which jumper you’re moving for loading software. The only time you are going to move a jumper on the CPUA is to run a recover file in the recover folder to repair a corrupted CPUA. And what files do you have in the update folder when loading? Should be a generic and a job file with the job number. Remember the job file will go away when loaded so always copy and paste from backup to update.

Moving the boot jumper. Placed every file I could find on the usb in the update folder after trying everything else. I know I should only need the recovery cfg, and the other but none of that is working. The red led flashes the z code and after several minutes starts giving me a double flash but the wd never comes up and the uit is blank. Followed the manual exactly from the usb and still no love.

I’m trying to be clear about which files we are talking about. The correct files may not be on the stick. Or one may be corrupted. Leave the BOOT jumper on 2-3, put only the generic and job file from the other car in the update folder and try to load that. If you get a watchdog, put the correct job file in the update folder, no generic, load that. If you get a watchdog, you should be good to go, if you do not, your job file is corrupt. Ideally there are 2 job files on the job stick. The factory unadjusted that will be in a folder named the job number at the root of the drive, and an adjusted file in the backup folder. Try the unadjusted file. If no WD with the other car’s software and you have a recover file, move the boot jumper and run recover, then start with the other car’s software, etc.

If I leave the boot jumper on 2 and 3 it will not flash the z code as stated in the manual. The generic file does not appear to be on the stick just the updated and it isn't doing the trick. We contacted verticle Express and they referred us to the local thyssen office and they have been less than helpful getting the generic file. 3 duplexes on the job and I've checked and tried all 6 sticks and files. Still no love.

K got some files from a friend and left the boot jumper on 2 and 3 on a replacement cpua board and it worked. This is a replacement for the replacement lol. Running on inspection now. Apparently the replacement cpua is faulty. Thanks for the info
