Dmc1 door close problem - 04/02/19 01:46 PM

Losing WD 1 and 2 on door control board. Door stays open. What controls WD on door board ?

It’s intermittent and happens on all floors. WD Light on door board flickers and drops out. Door stays open.

An open motor armature will cause the watchdog to drop out. Check the motor & brushes. Other than that, verify your 12 & P150 voltages, if good replace door board.

Just replace board. Most likely cause. Swap it from another car for certification

Have you checked the motor and voltages?

WD1 is on when you have voltage at DA1, WD2 is in when you have voltage at DA2. To check the motor, unplug the leads, make sure neither read to ground, connect your meter across them reading resistance, rotate the motor a very small amount and stop until you get around several times. Every time the resistance reading settles it should be roughly the same resistance. If it’s ever very high, you have a problem. Make sure P150 doesn’t drop while running the motor. If it does, you may have a PY2 or PY4 board with no cap from P150 to G150 in the controller or a bad cap under the board. I kind of doubt it’s an encoder problem since the doors work in one direction and the encoder is just 2 optical switches.

Sounds like a bad capacitor to me

If it is you should see the P150 drop when the door tries to move

Happened again after 8 days working great. It was happening every 10 times or so the doors opened before replacing the door motor. Now I’m very confused

Is The capacitor located on the PCB relay board in machine room? Does the whole board need to be replaced ? There is a 4-6 week lead time to order this board from vertical express.

Jluf You can get a board from World electronics shipped the same day, or for half the cost send yours in for repair.

You can get the board next day from al of them.
