Dover T4 - 04/25/19 05:55 PM

Need help with Dover T4 intermittently staying stuck at floor it takes a hall call then closes doors doors close to about 1/8 inch from fully shutting and will not leave floor I have checked all limits and gate switch are made also interlocks are made after about 1 maybe 2 minutes the door operator motor powers up and puts closing pressure on doors then takes off running it does this at multiple floors and there are no faults in controller relating to doors the only fault was a 106 for DSP battery is it possible this could be causing the issue I could not find much else on that fault

This happened about five times on different floors In a row was able to physically check switch’s in door operator after getting netter to see if power was still supplied to door operator it started running again for several hrs trying to see if it will do it again any suggestions on where to head with this I was thinking about the CD out put module possibly flakey

Is this happening when there is no onward demand on the car? The door operator will not keep closing torque on the motor when there is no onward demand.
The door operator arm setting is very important on those doors as they have a very high tendency to drift open when power is no longer applied.

If its doing it with a demand to move...then check the motor brushes as well those can cause odd problems in dover door motors

I have seen an old Dover operator do something similar caused by the belt having a flat spot that would stall the door when it came around the small motor sheave. Brushes are a good guess too.

Yes this happens when there is a call demand the linkage and belts look good I did not check the brushes but will check them now I have replaced the close door output module on the pmi board and switched my door open limit module and door close limit module on pmi board also going to check brushes and run it again to see if does it again hard to tell as it may run several hrs and sometimes a day before it does it again
Thanks everyone for your help I will update if with any findings

The 106 fault is not likely related. Look at the battery on the wiring diagram, there's a 1/4 amp pico fuse on the main processor board thats usually blown and keeping the car from seeing that battery.
