DMC Door zone reed switch

Is the newer L bracket black switch door zone reed assembly a replacement for the old white cylinder type door zone reed ? If so how does it mount ?

You could remove the white reed switch and replace it with the black one using the old bracket. The OD might be slightly larger on the black reed switch.
