wheel o vator residential issue - 07/31/20 11:05 AM

Had a new customer with a wheel-o-vater residential unit - looks like theres an opening in the safety string and we've narrowed it down to a motor stop switch. Can't find any motor stop switch and also never heard of a motor stop switch especially for a residential. Wondering if its maybe a overload of some type? any tech support on these? Appreciate any help

Screw Drive?
Belt tension switch.
Stop switch under the unit near the base support.
Pan switch.
Some weird unmarked keyswitch on the run panel?

Roped Unit?
Slack rope switch.
Pan switch.
Low oil switch.
Limit switch.

Never heard of a “motor stop switch” either. Thermal maybe? Did you ever see this platform unit run? Maybe some “option” jumper not in place. Prints I think would show it if it were an optional feature, but you never know.

Did you get it fixed? What kind of WOV residential elevator was it. Roped hydro, overhead drum, basement drum??

i didn't actually...the customer got impatient and didn't like that we had to care for some of our contract customers before him so he went elsewhere smh
