Is there a hoist way learn and slowdown learn on these units? There is almost no transition/slowdown in the up direction.

There is a hoistway scan but most likely a valve adjustment. P17 is the up slowdown distance. Check setting in book for your car speed. I’d start with half a turn out on up slowdown. Also make sure up level adjuster hasn’t wandered in and increased level speed too much.

And check the up level adjuster. If you can spin it back and forth easily with your fingers, the o rings are shot.

If it was an already fine running in service car, chances are the valves were set with a colder oil, and now that it's warm out, you have an up leveling issue. Warm oil doesn't "hold weight" as well as cold oil. Dirt has the solution good sir, half turn out on up slowdown for an I-2 or I-3 valve will put you right back in the ball park.
