Kone KCM831 controller fault - 02/03/12 06:50 PM

We're getting a 0036 fault, "main contactor dropped during run". This fault is occuring by itself, and is not a sympathetic fault coupled with another event.

Main contactor comprises the 201 contactors. The auxiliarys dont bounce when tapped. Swapping ADON2 with adjacent car, to see if the problem follows

Let us know...I'll bet the ADON cures it..

Swapped Adon IIs, problem did not follow it.

Swapped braking units, main for emer, no help.

Swapped that limit board, the one on the drive cover, no good.

Monday, we'll put a scope on every run command signal and its' derivatives we can think of.

Check the communication cable going to the drive. There was a TSB which required a new improved one from Kone Spares.

Check for a flaky door lock, the interuption can be so quick so as not to generate a door lock fault but still drop the main contactor.

36 is a secondary fault usually check the event log event 1 is the last thing that happened scroll through and you should find the fault that caused it you probably already fixed it as it is 2 months later

You know, when a problem goes away, you just sorta forget about it, and move on the the next thing...

That's what seems to have happened here. It's been so long, I can't even remember what we did to it last.

But thank you for the advice, it's appreciated, and I'm sure we will consider it on the next one!
