KONE KCM831 V3F16L Drive - 04/12/21 03:17 PM

While doing a Governor pull through test on a KCM831 after we finished the test and got off the car top we placed everything back in normal. Car would not run. Got a 0026 fault and don't have drive OK LED. Tried unplugging the thermistor XT1 connector on the drive and resetting the fault. That didn't work. We could not access the drive parameters in menu 6 with switch 270 on inspect. Had another V3F16L drive so we replaced it. Same thing. Seems like the drive is not communicating with the LCE board. Is there something we are missing? I hate to order and LCE board if that's not the problem. Thanks.

Was the other V3F a known good drive? That is usually how the drives go bad, after a test. Its obsolete so It will be replaced with a newer drive and the tach will have to come out for an encoder.

The replacement V3F was one we had in stock for a spare. Its new, but its been in a warehouse for seven or eight years so its not a known good drive.

If there are no other drive faults and the drive has the correct mains voltage and the LCE parameters remained unchanged I would say it is no good.

Check parameter 1 - 95 it should be set to 1 this sometimes defaults to 0 I’ve had this a few times? Don’t forget to cycle the power when you change a parameter, hope this is all it is.
