Old Dover relay logic tank upgrade problem - 09/02/21 10:06 PM

Today I was finishing up the tank replacment at an old dover relay logic. The car is a 3 stop automatic passenger car that was down for 3 months waiting on approval and parts. Now that we put the tank the car is tripping low oil. Before we get to that let me start with saying I cannot get the viscoty to work. I maked every wire for the HT and LT (high temp/low temp) termo sensors under the tank. When I went to hook them up all the elevator does (with no calls in) is run and run and run until it trips low oil. I bypassed the viscoity temp sensors (blocked the "ST" open) and now the car just trips low oil every run. I dont have a print for this elevator but its one of the older relay logic with the light bulb on it. If anyone has any advise I would greatly appreachate it.

Did you replace the valve? Is the starter ATL or Y-Delta or softStart? When you say it trips LOT every time it runs, does it complete a one floor run and cycle the doors and then go on LOT, or does the pump just keep running until the LOT trips without the car moving? Is this a simplex car?

We replacmed the power unit complete with valve, pump and motor. Its ATL simplex 3 stop. The elevator would run for 6-7 seconds upwards then trip LOT with a call in. Without a call in the car would sit there just running but the elevator not moving (like it was trying to warm oil) but would trip LOT.

LOT time should be at lesat 25% more than longest run. What type of LOT do you have? Most of that vintage were motor driven spring loaded gear type timers. Is this what you have? Send me an email address and I will send a WD that may be close except for the thermostats.
