Otis 411MmS intermittently going in pit? - 01/25/22 08:54 PM

Have a Otis 411MmS that intermittently goes on final in pit with a 2609 fault software direction limit error.
This happens like 2 times a week maybe?
Swapped sensors on cartop and board
Took main board out to get checked from electronics repair
Shop
Any suggestions will be so grateful
Thanks

Might want to try a relearn. And check your speed checks if you have a car to compare with.

Already did learn multiple times still happening
Always in pit on final
Sent board out multiple times
You think software issue?

Is it always an empty car? Kone had a problem like that where it would only go into the overhead when the car was empty.

Is this a new car? Has anything changed recently? I had some mce Iboxs that about once a month a car would be in the overhead. We had just picked these cars up after their one year warranty period ended from the company that did the installs. It was always in the morning, always an empty car. I went through everything possible. Brought weights out, setup some advanced features on the drives trying to rule everything out. It was a software issue. This job was setup to park a car at the main floor, once one was there it'd park one in the basement, once there was one there if there was still no demand itd park one at the top floor. They had a glitch in the original software that sometimes (once a month so 29 successful days) when it was sending the car to the top to park it literally just lost track of where it was and went into the overhead.

I wish i had more info on 411s for you but my thought is check anything that changed. Did they program it to park a car on the bottom floor, did someone just add card readers or security to the car? Very well could be a software issue too.

Not always a empty car this is a old car I would say from 2008 no changes to car at all

May be a stupid question but Bottom Normal Contacts? It should have mechanical switches with contacts If it doesn't see them it will go through. If the rolled guides are in rough shape or too much slack the cam vein might miss the switch at full/slow down speeds where as on a learn run it is runinng 5-10 feet a minute and may be opening it as it should every time but not at learn speed. I would be willing to bet it has something to do with the normal.

It was the CPU board was bad that holds the memory of the positioning of car and the learn of hoistway

Sorry, late to the conversation but it was likely the BAT-RAM chips on the MLB.
