Kone Resolve 20 stopped working on inspect - 05/31/22 03:50 PM

I am working on a Kone Resolve 20, (4 stop traction) the initial issue was the the elevator stopped working immediately after a shunt test. It completely lost itself and had several faults, the one that was the biggest issue was F017. I also found the door operator wouldn't do a learn run so replaced the board and did a successful learn run. The LCE also said the lift was at floor 63 (there are 4 floors) The fault still showed, I was able to run the lift on inspect and tried to do a learn run but the fault was preventing it, I found the rear DZ (B30) parameter incorrect (there are no rear doors) when I corrected it the F017 fault disappeared,
No faults are showing now but it now wont run on inspect to position for the learn. Any suggestions?

Does it show it being on inspection? I would start by verifying all of the parameters are correct. Do you have a print?

I found relay K464 1&2 werent closing to give rope gripper 110v when I resolved that I can run on RDF

I still cannot get the learn run to go, it has a OSS (out of service) display now 4-1-10, this is preventing us from doing the learn, thoughts?

So I have done the (5.2.1) learn, and when I attempt the Decel learn (5.5.1) it wont do it, everything triggers to go except the brake wont pick. Any Ideas? I dont have any faults, but it just wont start.

At this point I have replaced;
Door operator board
ADON board

I have the manual now, as well as fault codes and prints. I cant find anything in the manual telling me to do the learn different than I have done it,

The other issue that keeps rearing it head, is the door operator board looses its learn run after cycling power occasionally

Im not sure what a resolve 20 is, but it sounds like its essentially an ecospace (kcm831) controller in a regular machine room. It's possible the battery backed RAM (DALLAS chip) on the lce board is bad and the power going out for the shunt test caused you to loose parameters. If its anywhere near 10 years old or more I'd definitely replace that. Access electronics sells them but I'm sure there's other sources.

Make sure the "state" light is off on the operator board. I have an ecospace that if the power goes out the operator looses its learn run memory and it will not run until you relearn the operator. Everything else in the world and safety string is good but somehow the lce board knows the operator is offline.

Did you do an ADON learn after replacing the board? It needs an ADON learn for unintended motion to work.

Has anyone else had this issue on newer AMD operators? I've put in a ton of savarias using the same operator and this ecospace is the only one that looses door memory after a power outage. Both the motor and board are brand new from AMD. It seems like maybe there's an issue with new boards from AMD If your also having this issue with a new board.

If you can't get to the operator to check it, put it on car/hoistway bypass and if it runs its most likely the operator needs learned. Then you can move it and learn it before taking it off bypass

As I recall, the Resolve 20, and Resolve 100 were Mod packages.

The Wittur operators are supposed to just require a “soft learn” after power up. The stat LED will be on and the doors will act exactly like when you do a scan, run slow the first trip then full speed for like 2 cycles then the light goes off. Should still respond to commands though, just that first trip is slow. Is it possible a timer is set too low or torque too low to open the doors coupled at that speed?
