Miprom-1 - 02/04/23 12:44 AM

Took a call on car 1 of a miprom-1 duplex job. Replaced the bad miprom power supply on car 1. After powering up car 1 the elevator is stuck on phase 1 recall and the hall calls will not work. No phase 1 inputs are high. When I power car 1 down the hall calls will work. I can run the car on normal with the phase 2 key switch in bypass but once I key phase 2 back to off car 1 goes back to phase 1 recall. I've tried running through phase 1 and phase 2 operations and back to normal with no avail. The door open and close limits seem to be working properly. I'm kind of leaning to something happened to the software. Any old Montgomery/KONE guys out there with some tips? If only I could talk to Stu.

ESS and AESS should be hi in normal operation. ESB input can be jumped hi to bypass the ess and aess inputs. you probably have one or more than one bad input boards. sometimes if inputs are looking correct they are really bad. Try putting a meter on the inputs, 120vac if they show hi, and 0 if they are low. Also, outputs to ground are the same 210vac if hi and 0 if low. ESC should be low for normal service. No outputs should be blinking.

Thank you John Jay. ESS was low. I'm scheduled to troubleshoot with the fire alarm company to figure out what smokey is bad and why it didn't recall car 2 to the lobby also. It is an old fire alarm system.

DENada, glad to hear the results. I should have added to check the voltage of the inputs before jumpering them. Montgomery-Kone came out with some controllers that were 24vac instead of 120vac.
