Gen 2 shutdown. - 07/24/23 05:40 PM

Hi guys. I have. Gen 2 shut down. Building maintenance tripped lock while car was in motion. No faults on mcss. But drive says traction loss no mcss saf. My SAFE and SAFE2 are high as well as OS GTC PES ICES CSC . None of regular resets are working.

Just to add. My Manual reset button in the door jam only worked once. Now I can not get UCM reset. There is no reset button on the controller in shaftway. It’s all run out externally to the door jam. But all my safes are good. After main line reset I get

gateway fault 2111 0001.

REM NOT CONFIGURED
2113 0001.

LWSS COMM TOUT
2414. 0001

SB BOARD FAULT 2835 0001

2835 is a battery fault/rescue encoder fault
replace SPB batteries. There's either 4 or 2 in the bottom of the controller

These things are a PITA with not resetting sometimes. I've found quite often you have to hit manual reset then cycle the power to complete the UCM reset.

Did you try clearing your PF RAM? I always try clearing PF and SAC RAMS as a first step for odd issues. Be careful, SAC RAM stores security setup. Don't clear if your car has security on it.

Is there any shutdown faults(active faults)? M-2-2-1 it's the option that says shut I believe, option 2 is event log.

Whats the mode it's in if you look at mcss status screen? M-2-1-1.

Another thought is did they trigger the "got on the cartop wrong" lockout? Can't remember what they call that but I do remember reading one way to clear that is to put it on fire service.

Not sure if this has been corrected. If turning your inspection keyswitch to on then back to normal doesn't work then, Assuming you have a blue tool, hit your ucm reset, do a module 151 to clear pf ram, then a module 2231 to reset. This usually clears up an access fault/door pick fault. Also to reiterate what Flyballgov said, be sure you change out your batteries every 3-4 years. If there's no documentation for when they have been replaced then just ahead and replace them all
