Garaventa Artira IPL - 10/12/23 01:25 PM

I have a Garaventa Artira Incline Platform Lift that has been dormant for a few years. I am working on taking it out of dormancy and I keep getting a fault on the drive board that says no comm with hall stations. I have gone through all the wiring and I cant get it to do anything. I called Garaventa but they wont help because I am not an authorized dealer. Any one have more info that might help?

I'm not sure on that specific model, but alot of those garaventa IPLs power all the boards and motors on the carriage with 12vdc through the hoist rope in the tube, and there is no other direct wiring connections to the board in the machine or hall stations, it uses radio waves to send data back and forth wirelessly. At least the older ones were like that.

The newer ones I think run batteries on the carriage and moved the motor onto the carriage, like a big stairlift (or savaria deltalift), but on those too I think the hall stations are wireless.

The hall stations are not wireless. They are wired back to the machine. The voltaage on the cable is 24VDC to ground. Where are you located?

three wires are power, ground and data. I think the unit will run with only one hall station hooked up. You might try disconnecting one station at a time and see if communication comes back. You should turn off power before disconnecting hall stations. Also, do you have the intelligent buttons? Does hall stations rotate lights in buttons when first powered up? The very latest ones may be wireless, but only in the last few years
