TAC20-03 SW Issue - 02/28/24 08:22 PM

Trying to upload the job file and following the instructions in the TAC20 manual, got to Service>Transfers. The EEPROM window opens but I cannot select the file to be uploaded to the TAC20-03. I cannot locate the file to upload even though when not connected to the TAC20 I can see the job name and folder in C> Program Files>Thyssen>IMS>Jobs. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

When you’re browsing for the file in Windows Explorer change the file type to all files

It doesn’t let you select all files. See attached photo. Drop down window has no other selections except the one shown.

So you can’t even see the job named folder? I’m not sure what’s going on there but I don’t think I’ve ever tried to load a job file like that before. Probably best to just rename it _07c000.dat and load it through Hyperterminal. And when you do that it’s a good idea to make another copy of the file named _0f8000.dat and load both at the same time.

No can’t even see the job named folder but it’s there. So 2 copies of the original downloaded job file and just rename the same file twice to 07 & Of?

I'm not sure, but I was told by someone much smarter than me on tac 20s that you can't load the car files through ims like that. That it has to be done through hyperterminal. I think it's also best to change the file name on the hyperterminal to .Dat to upload all 5 files at once. Wouldn't hurt.

Ya, I always load the 2 copies of the job file and the 3 generic software files at the same time. Put all 5 in the same folder, select one in Hyperterminal then delete the entire file name and replace with an * leaving the .dat so it reads: folder/*.dat then send
