Kone Miprom-HS Hydraulic - 03/17/24 04:43 PM

I have a KONE Miprom-HS Hydraulic controller that's giving me some issues. It is a 4 stop unit that is not stopping at the intermediate landings in either direction, and overshoots the bottom landing even in leveling speed. According to the LEDs on the CPU, the car is recognizing the slowdown switch, and the LU, LD, and DZ cigar switches. If given a call to the 2nd level from the bottom landing, the car will acknowledge the slowdown switch, begin to level, then very quickly switch back to high-speed. Occasionally it will stop and level back down to the first floor, but typically it sails past the floor until it reaches the top terminal landing. Have swapped the main CPU board, and main COP board with a spares, as well as changed the slowdown bistabile cigar switch to no avail.

On an HS with more than 2 floors, the magnet polarity has to alternate. If the polarity is off the floor count will be off and the SLDN (slowdown will not work correctly). So if the magnet polarity at the bottom level is N, the next floor needs to be S. Also get into the car operating panel and check your wiring. Everything from the car-top goes down to the COP Board.

It sounds like you lost your magnet for the dump switches.

In case anyone runs into a similar issue, it turns out the "HLSB" board was bad. Nothing was making any sense so we swapped the board out and it resolved the issues that I had stated before.
