Schindler 3300 - 04/11/24 10:44 PM

Have a 3581 fault safety circuit over current, check for grounds. Anything else to be aware of?

Ok, found a ground on the safety circuit input on the drive control board and got it repaired. We’re now getting a 0432 and 0433 fault. We’re assuming the brake isn’t lifting, is all of this fed from the same drive control board or is there something else in the drive that picks the brake?

0432: brake contactor didn't operate as expected.
0433 drive contactor didn't operate as expected.

Wish I could be more help, but I don't work with these much. It sounds like the brake didn't pick, but with the drive failure also I'm not positive. Could be drive auxiliary faulted so you didn't get the drive which in turn meant you didn't get the brake. Just a guess.

Only have 0432 fault now, SF relay picks in the drive but still not picking SB on BCMC130 board, know this board works as we swapped it with a working drive.

0432 E_DRIVE_BRAKE_DISCONNECTOR_FAILURE
This section describes the 0400_0499_DRIVE error E_DRIVE_BRAKE_DISCONNECTOR_FAILURE.
One or more brake power disconnectors (e.g. contactor) does not operate as expected
0: Unknown (not supported) 1: Activation failure
2: Deactivation failure
ID
1 2
Possible causes of message
The disconnector is defective (e.g. contacts stuck together)
The disconnector feedback signal is faulty
Actions to be taken
Replace defective disconnector (e.g. SB)
Check general wiring of disconnector feedback signal (e.g. between SB and drive inverter)

Have you tried running open loop to check your brake switches?

Command 102 I believe ignores encoder and brake feedback

A couple of questions, i’ve heard from a few Schindler guys that the drive is looking for 2 permissions to run, one from the safety circuit (4*) and is the other one from canh, canl?

Is ip24v internal to the drive?

Where can i get cadi?

Yes tried open loop and still same issue.

Older installations had the door lock circuit go through the drive for some unknown reason. Have replaced several drive contactors in the past. Software upgrades are also recommended

You need to check the 2 brake switches. Very small switches. When the 3300s first came out they didn't allow you to replace or adjust the switches. They even made the local SEC branches buy the entire brake instead of replacing the switches. I believe they changed their minds after realizing how much time and money it was costing them. Later the switches became available to SEC techs, but I never heard of any announcement that they were officially allowing switch only changes. The switches have 2 small metric bolts and nuts for adjustment. You'll find they have marks on them that will show if you've adjusted or not. That is just my understanding of the situation and not a recommendation of any sort.
