Superior Elevator - 12/10/09 09:28 AM

I have a MRL manufactured by Superior that has a constant CC40 fault. This fault occurs at least once a week and causes the lift to stop, and displays a flashing 'OV' on the hall indicators. The lift is usually floor level at the bottom floor or just out of level. The only information i have about CC40 fault is that it is a fail in the contactor's watch. I spoke to the mechanic who apparently tuned this lift and he didnt even know how to oversome this. Main contactors have been changed due to high resistance contacts but fault remains. Is anyone familiar with this equipment and have any ideas? Terminal slowdown problem maybe?

I am not familiar with this particular elevator manufacturer but I would assume that a terminal slowdown should generate a fault in addition to what you have. When you say usually at the bottom landing has it ever happened elsewhere? When the contactor was replaced were the aux contacts also replaced? Could be a redundancy fault looking for an input contact??
