TK 1068 jack sync problem

Car shuts down on 1068 fault. No apparent problems with pistons or packing. This car has had this problem since new. Added Maxglide oil additive but this did not seem to help. Car will run for a week or two with no problem. I understand this is a problem with many of these Tac 20 twin post telescopic jobs. This is only a 2 stop with 14 feet of travel. Any fix out there? Can the parameters be set up as if it was a standard 2 stop twin post so it will not go out on a 1068 fault?
