HAHAHA About 30 years ago we were sent to a 5 stop office building to replace all car call buttons . These were the old round US buttons and they would get the outer rims busted off. They sent us there at 8AM and there was only one car so I just disconnected the car buttons and left my helper on top with a jumper. So as people came in I would ask their floor and then repeat to my helper. This gave me the idea to reply ELEVATOR 4TH FLOOR or whatever floor they wanted and tell them about the new voice activation feature we were adding!!! Well by the time we were done everyone had come to work and got to see the new feature. We left the job laughing to ourselfs thinking about 100 people going to lunch yelling at the car station ELEVATOR 1ST FLOOR. However the route mechanic didn't see the humor at all because for the next week he kept getting calls about the elevator not working right.......Still makes me laugh to this day how pissed he was about our little joke.
