Westinghouse prints - 11/08/19 12:42 AM

Trying to do a door mod on a Westinghouse hydro. Have the prints but the nomenclature page is not there so I don't know what all the abbreviations for the switches and stuff are. Signal for door open and door close always throws me off. Need help with that and any advice on putting a GAL operator on this.Done several with the GAL but not on a Westinghouse.

I realize this is an older post, but I am having a similar problem. 1960's Westinghouse ERL with a mostly complete set of prints, but no legend/nomenclature just like firbug13. Our guys in the field rarely see these old Westinghouse units, and the numbered relays are not helpful without the legend. Does anybody have a Westinghouse legend they'd be willing to share?

It’s somewhat easy.
Westinghouse has 43 and 44 relays for open and close
Their are usually spare contacts on those relays they are the EC type.
You will have to run a voltage common signal through those so the GAL MOVFR gets the signal. Also you will have to mount in the controller a DOL-door open limit relay and a DCL door close limit relay. These are driven by the signals from the Gal door operator. Put the contacts in the circuit where the old Westinghouse open and close limits were.

I have done this many times on the Westinghouse controllers as as other manufactures Dover-Otis-Montgomery-Schindler MPH-300A

This sounds similar to what the other guys are doing. Care to elaborate?
