Hoistway entrance fire rating.

Any one with insight on how the majors keep the fire rating of the entrance frames with the access doors for the control components of MRL's?

The covers meets the 14 ga. thickness required for a fire rating. The frames had to be relisted to include the openings before they put them in the field. The are not modifying an existing frame so to speak.
