I know I won't be making it tomorrow..I'm in the #40's for Seattle and it's booming for years to come, so I'm going to go with that, Portland haven't heard so much though on workload..

Just received my #19 ranking today. I’m currently a union sprinkler fitter and I’m excited beyond words to start! From what I’ve seen and heard local 23 is slammed with work. I know all other trades in the area are desperate for good help so let’s hope this list goes fast!

I just got my rank with local 23 and I'm #40. Anyone know how far down the list they went last round?

Id like to know how many went last round too. Im #148 so I'm doubtful but still would like to know.

Rank #26. I hope local 23 is desperate for guys..I know ironworkers are slowing down though and I can’t imagine elevator installers are doing much without us so I’m very skeptical they have much going on.

From what I researched online, Oregon doesn't have really much compared to the Seattle area, but just my two cents..

I just called and asked. I was told they took 67 over the last two years. With construction slowing down I would imagine anyone over rank 20 will be waiting more than a year.

Called today no hires yet.

There's still the service department, Mod, open order if the new equipment or construction side slows down. It's rare up here in Seattle but i have heard of guys getting hired and going into everything except New equipment/Construction.

When things get slow they move guys out of construction to Mod and service etc. That’s usually when they stop taking on new hires and sending apprentices to the bench.

But it’s busy in Seattle hopeful probies...keep plugging away guys/girls and don’t get discouraged.
