Looking for your opinions on what is obsolete/covered under a full maintenance service agreement. Say you have a older SCR drive and you could find someone to rebuild it or has a refurbished one, but is no longer made, should the service company pay for the repair or have rebuilt or give them a quote for a brand new current drive?

Typically, the obsolete clause will not cover equipment or parts that are no longer manufactured or supported by the original OEM.

Our contract is the same. If the OE isn't producing new components any longer or supporting that drive, it's obsolete. Just cuz someone sells used boards on eBay, it doesn't deem it "current". If that's so, I have a showroom condition new Delorean for sale. Lol

We have major national contracts and the obsolete clause does not exist for them
