Wanted to clear some misconceptions that I've read in different posts on adding a Door screen to a Dover DMC.

When removing the old photo eye, a jumper needs to be installed in the door operator P24 to EE

The electronic edge needs to be hooked to the old SE safety edge inputs.

If you look at factory prints on units that came with Electronic door edges, you will see this.

This is important because of fire service. CLC adjustment 20 handles how the edge will work on fire service. It will disable the edge and activate nudging on phase 1 recall. Other choices available for phase 1 and phase 2 operation.

If you do not have adjustment 20, and you have fire service, you will have to upgrade software, possibly the CLC board.

Working safely may get old, but so do those who practice it. ~Author Unknown
