We have a unit that gives us 12 seconds of dwell time before doors will start to close. (front only rear works fine) All times are set correctly but even on independent the door dwells for 12 seconds before it will close. Problem seems to go away and come back when unit heats up??????

when you are on independent and hold the close button, does DO10 go low? If so the problem is probably in the door board or micro switches. Is the open limit made up when you are all the way open? Does the door work properly when you put in the test mode at the operator?

If you have the tool, you should be able to go to the show PIO section and look at the Door limits D03 and D017, to see if they agree with the signal at the input board you can do the same for the output D07 door close and D010 open signal. if the cpu signal for D07 is 1, then the D07 output signal should turn green. could be a bad input card, or output card. however, if D07 is coming on and the doors still dont close for 12 seconds, then it is something in the door board or wiring to it. good luck

Sorry I should of added this is a signal problem not an operator problem. Doors work fine on test mode in operator and they do what the controller tells them to do with no delay.

Does it act the same for car calls as it does for hall calls? If you break the electronic edge does the dwell time change. There are a fairly large number of hall call timers, you may have missed one.

Turns out there is a time delay on the gatekeeper. My guy said it wasn't marked and he was trying to increase volume on the tone for eyes blocked... All good now.
