Problem as of today all green input lights are flashing. Duplex. #1 car running fine. #2 flashing all inputs. I have replaced bottom rack, top rack, ribbon cable, 5volt power supply and all cards In both racks have been checked and are ok. The 24 v main power supply voltage stays at 23.5 and reads dc only. All grounds have checked out ok. Anyone help please. It's appreciated The only thing I haven't done is see a physiatrist.

Been a while since I worked on one,so excuse me if I don'call the board by it's proper name, but had the same issue once.It turned out to be a bad trace on the board behind the relay pilot board. If they are doing it on the relay pilot board. If they are doing it on the card rack, it will be a process of elimination. With the car out of group. You will have to unplug one card at at time till it goes away, and you'll have found it.

usually when all the outputs are flashing like this the culprit is the CPU Board. If you have the old style CPU, you can have it repaired. I don't remember if world electronics sold these or not. you may want to check. These boards are plug and play.

Thanks. Swapped CPU on to car # 1 it worked ok. FYI I don't have a handheld tool for this machine. Swapped every single board and card rack board. Installed new upper and lower card rack. Problem still exists when placed back to car 2. At this point I'm dead in the water. Scratching head......side not after swapping CPU. Car #1 did go into fire service. I had an extremely hard time resetting this. Could this be a software problem of some sort ? Or still search for a short ? A short some where is my gut feeling. Anyway thanks for the help fellas. Have a good weekend and keep it safe

If it wasn't the CPU, you could have multiple bad inputs or outputs. Also the power board can cause this. There really isn't a tool for this type of problem. If you have more than one bad input or output it causes the computer to go off in the weeds because it doesn't know what to do. A bad program board, a bad Timer board, a bad i/o board are all candidates. Try pulling all the input and output boards, and just leave the power board and smart boards plugged in, then plug the inputs and outputs in one at a time and see what happens. Car one, may have gone into fire service because ess or aess input went low. if you make esb input high with a jumper while you are tracking this problem it won't go on fire service.

When you say you replaced both racks
Did you reuse the decoding chips in the old racks?

Thanks guys. This is my first and only stop for tomorrow. I truly appreciate the the help. I honestly don't think I used the same encoding chips to be honest. I'm pretty far off in the weeds on this one. As you can see from my previous post this is ty

Ive seen this issue quite a bit, the Miprom power supply-upper left outside of the card rack, It mostly happens when the car takes off in the up direction-pump motor energizes. It should always have an output voltage of 24-30VDC, had a couple that were putting out 20VDC.

E311. That's exactly what I found. Power supply just a tad over 20. I installed a new power supply today. This changed everything. All other systems went away. Which let me trouble to a second problem. The P-31595 CPU board was shot as well. Swapped the CPU board from car 1 and # 2 took right off !!! Ordered a new CPU and hold have it tomorrow and we ll put a bow on this one.

Thanks everyone for the help! Appreciate the heck out if it
