runs fine on inspect. But when given run command, starts and stops, starts and stops, then dies. Never gets more than an inch or three. WE HAVE NO PRINT. We have a similar print. No relays chatter.

It is acting like something is not dropping out or valve getting intermittent voltage (but it isn't). Sending two techs tomorrow but we are not Westinghouse experts. All DC. Schindler / Adams / Westinghouse will (not supposed to) offer limited tech support but nobody there knows this old Westinghouse stuff. Piano key relays. Anything you give us we'll try.

Monte,
When you say "it starts and stops, starts and stops" can you be more specific?

Does it do this in both directions?

Monte,
Now I'm not sure what relay your unit will or will not have. But, You may want to Look at the following first.

Are 29, 40 & 41 staying in while its trying to leave the floor?
Are your direction relays staing in 1 & 2?
When the pump is running, are 5, 5D 11A & 11B staying in?

Make good choices,

I have seen this problem on several different makes of elevators. There will be a high speed or fast speed contact that will let the elevator ignore the LD signal when you run up. If this contact doesnt make properly the LD signal tells the car to level down dropping the up signal.

JKH, Rolly, and danzeitz == thanks so much. We found a fused contact on the NB relay. But that is after we had to rebuild a QA board, basically from scratch (there are a couple pass thru boards on those that you can no longer buy). But we fixed it. Or at least for now.

Thanks so much to all of you.
