Hey, guys we were doing some testing on a Dover Composite the other and found the Counterweight buffer switch had been tripped but the car was still running normal not going into reduced speed. So we also checked the car buffers, same deal still runs high speed. Checked out the switches all making and breaking when tripped. So we went up to the machineroom looking to see if the Circuit had been jumped out. Didn't see any jumper any where and we tried looking on the print and could find this circuit. Would you guys happen to have any idea what page this circuit would be on or what they call it? Thanks

Shouldnt opening a buffer switch kill the safety string and not put the car in reduced speed????? I would think the buffer switches may be wired in series with the pit switch. On most units they run test points back to the controller so you can break down a circut but not always. I would not trust my pit switch without checking things out very carefully. GOOD LUCK

Well on these cars, they are suppose to run reduced speed when the switch is open, like the rest of the cars in the bank. Yeah I guess a quick fix would wire into the pit switch but I want to try and atlease figure this circuit out.

Hey Brian, if you look on the S+ side of the 1F relay coil just before the MOX2 contact you'll see your buffer switch terminal CCB. My guess is someone has placed a jumper between S+ and CCB.
Good Luck!
